About the role:

As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for mission critical monitoring to ensure our customers get the best proactive support and incident management.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Knowledge of IT monitoring & engagement tools like DataDog, PagerDuty, Grafana, Kibana, etc.
  • Responsible for uptime & incident management through monitoring of IT Infrastructure & Application-level alerts.
  • Identify automation opportunities in monitoring and contribute to reducing noise in monitoring.
  • Maintaining prompt, ongoing, and accurate communications to customers and 3rd party stakeholders throughout a reported issue.
  • Driving urgency to drive resolution on actionable alerts & incidents identified through monitoring.
  • Ability to work in hybrid culture with teams of various sizes in the same/different time zones, and remain highly motivated, productive, and organised.
  • Monitoring of support tickets and issues and escalating based on criticality to concerned team's basis pre-defined guidelines
  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and escalating issues proactively through continuous monitoring
  • Participating, with assistance, in customer calls as needed
  • Take ownership of expanding internal documentation for process and playbooks

Requirements & Skills:

  • BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 0-1 Year in customer-facing technical support, IT support or as a technical engineer
  • Basic understanding of API and cloud technology, including basic database knowledge and utilities for monitoring
  • Basic understanding of SQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills & Process Oriented
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent client-facing, English written and verbal skills
