About the Opportunity
We are looking for someone exceptional to help build and execute pricing and packaging strategies across our portfolio of software and services products. Reporting to the Pricing Director, you will sit at the intersection of Product, Go-to-Market, and Finance, developing insights, shaping recommendations, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure our pricing and packaging is positioned and executed effectively. Your work will be highly visible to Salsify leadership as you play the pivotal role of ensuring our prices capture a fair share of the value we create, directly influencing our growth and success.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Value-Based Pricing Models: Conduct research and analyze data to build a strong understanding of the value our products deliver for customers and how our products are differentiated compared to alternatives – translate insights into pricing models that align to value
- Continuous Optimization: Set up and report on key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve pricing & packaging strategies and practices
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate with Product, RevOps, Go-to-Market, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to seamlessly implement recommendations, ensuring that our pricing is seamlessly integrated into Salesforce/CPQ and that our sales teams have the right tools, enablement, and support to quote effectively and confidently
- Price Book Governance: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of SKUs, ensuring SKU data, discounting schedules, and solution definition guides are accurately maintained
What You’ll Bring:
- “Pricing” Mindset: 2–4 years of experience in an operational role where you’ve had to balance analytical rigor with business intuition (Pricing, BizOps, Finance, or Consulting preferred)
- Analytical Rigor: Proficiency with data analysis and structured thinking — you aren’t afraid of digging into data to find the "why" behind the numbers (experience with SQL and BI tools is a plus)
- Cross-Functional Diplomacy: Ability to work proactively with cross-functional teams and manage the conflicting priorities or needs of different stakeholders
- Strong Communication Skills: Adept at distilling complex data into clear, written or verbal narratives for various stakeholders
- Detailed Oriented: Organized and meticulous about the details
- Curiosity: Eagerness to understand problems, seeking ways to solve them or make a process more efficient (experience using AI tools a plus)
- Salesforce CPQ: experience is a plus
