About the role:

We are seeking a passionate, energetic and highly organised People Operations Advisor to join our vibrant and hard-working team.

Salsify’s People Experience (PX) Team enables our people to do their best work by cultivating experiences that are unique, and meaningful for each individual at every stage of their Salsify journey. The People Operations Advisor will build unique, local employee experiences in the frame of Salsify’s global philosophies, culture, and practices.

This role is a perfect fit if you are passionate about creating a best-in-class employee experience and implementing strategies that attract, develop and retain top talent. The right candidate will ensure that we are creating the best possible culture while curating an environment that allows our people to have an impact and grow their careers.

This position is based in our Manly Vale office.

Key Responsibilities include:

The People Advisor plays a key role in supporting the human resources functions for the ANZ region of the organisation. This position involves tasks spanning various HR disciplines, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, payroll and HR compliance.

  1. Recruitment and Selection:
    • Manage and execute the recruitment process, including all candidate experience, manager experience, and operational requirements (job posting, screenings, setting expectations, etc.)
    • Coordinate with global PX onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation and training programs.
  2. Performance:
    • Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding HR policies and procedures.
    • Assist in resolving employee relations issues through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
    • Provide guidance and support to leaders on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and fairness in decision-making.
    • Advise leaders on employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, team-building activities, and employee feedback mechanisms.
    • Partner with managers to address staffing needs, succession planning, and talent development strategies to support long-term organisational objectives.
    • Conduct exit interviews and analyse turnover data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Provide training and support to managers on performance management processes.
    • Assist in identifying performance issues and developing appropriate action plans for improvement, including coaching, training, or performance improvement plans.
  3. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Administer employee benefits programs.
    • Liaise with the Total Rewards team on company level benefit programs and policies.
    • Liaise with the global Total Rewards team to support compensation activities, such as salary benchmarking, merit increase planning, and bonus programs.
  4. HR Operations (Payroll, Policies, Health and Safety, Compliance, etc.):
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Ensure good, up-to-date local knowledge, including on workplace health and safety, leave, employee entitlements and legal matters.
    • Understand and build information on the local market, HR benchmarks, trends, etc. to drive recommendations.
    • Manage and execute all ANZ employee payroll processes in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Partner with Global PX Operations on policies, as well as the data integrity of all PX systems.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in HR roles within a fast-paced environment, with knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Ability to work cross functionally across all areas of the People Team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office applications.
