About Us:

At Root.io, we’re revolutionizing software supply chain security. As a Series A startup, we empower organizations to move fast and stay secure by automating vulnerability triage and delivering instant patches. With a focus on scalability, transparency, and efficiency, we’re saving businesses time, money, and headaches—and we’re just getting started.

Job Description:

We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Tel Aviv team and drive the evolution of our Container Image Remediation platform. In this role, you’ll own the product lifecycle - from ideation to launch - delivering innovative solutions that help organizations secure and maintain containerized software with ease.

This role requires a strong technical understanding of developer tools and environments, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with design, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to bring impactful features to market.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, manage, and execute product strategies and roadmaps that align with the company's vision and market trends
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to oversee the development of new product features, specifically those targeted toward container security and vulnerability remediation
  • Understand and anticipate the needs of our customers, translating them into detailed product requirements and user stories
  • Analyze user feedback, market trends, and performance metrics to inform data-driven product decisions and enhancements
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, sales, marketing, and customer success, to ensure comprehensive go-to-market strategies and successful product adoption
  • Facilitate communication between the technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating product functionality into tangible business value
  • Stay current with industry standards and advancements in software supply chain security, development tooling and containerized application security

Requirements:

  • Tech-savvy with a strong understanding of modern software development environments, including CI/CD workflows, containerized applications, and tools like Docker and Kubernetes. You should have the ability to dive deep into technical discussions, evaluate trade-offs, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams. Hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, Architect, or similar technical role is a strong advantage.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, ideally in a technical domain such as Cybersecurity or Developer Tooling.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end product development, including defining requirements, driving development, and supporting go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience working within Agile or Kanban frameworks, with a strong ability to facilitate sprint planning, prioritize backlogs, and adapt to iterative product development.
  • Familiarity with analyzing user feedback, performance metrics, and industry trends to inform product improvements.
  • Excellent communicator and team player, able to work across technical and non-technical teams to deliver impactful products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering measurable results

Our Values:

  • Teamwork and shared responsibility for our work
  • Caring deeply about others and striving to understand different points of view and collaborate
  • Striving for technical and product excellence and working quickly and iteratively to achieve our goals
  • Flexibility and adaptation to challenges and opportunities
