Marketing Manager (Hybrid, Boston)

The Role:
As our Marketing Manager (or Director of Marketing, depending on experience), you will have the opportunity to craft and scale a marketing program that’s only just getting started. This is a Boston-based hybrid role, requiring three days a week in the office. Occasional travel will also be required.
You’ll be responsible for both strategic and tactical marketing tasks, including driving inbound and outbound campaigns, coordinating content, managing events, overseeing website optimization, and leveraging social media. You’ll need to be entrepreneurial, innovative, and comfortable with rapid experimentation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to build brand awareness, generate leads, and drive customer engagement.
- Manage all aspects of marketing, including content creation, SEO, event marketing, social media, and lead generation.
- Drive inbound and outbound marketing efforts, utilizing data to inform continuous improvement.
- Oversee and optimize our website, ensuring alignment with company goals and KPIs.
- Leverage AI tools to streamline marketing operations and drive innovative campaigns.
- Collaborate with the sales, product, and leadership teams to ensure alignment across departments.
- Manage HubSpot and other marketing automation platforms to track performance and engagement.
- Experiment with new marketing approaches, track key metrics, and iterate based on feedback and data.
About You:

- You are comfortable balancing high-level strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- You have a passion for technology and are familiar with the software engineering and/or IT cybersecurity landscape. AppSec market knowledge is a plus.
- You’re able to manage multiple marketing channels, including content distribution, social media, and event coordination.
- You believe in rapid iteration, testing, and learning from both successes and failures.
- You’re familiar with marketing systems like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and SEO tools.
- You’re comfortable using AI tools to enhance and automate marketing processes.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of marketing experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of inbound and outbound marketing strategies.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms like HubSpot.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their marketing applications.
- Familiarity with the software engineering and/or IT cybersecurity landscape, with bonus points for AppSec knowledge.
- Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
- A self-starter who can work independently while contributing to the team’s success.
- Occasional travel required.
