We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team! Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for delivering on the finance team’s day-to-day operations to meet its obligations to internal and external stakeholders. Posh is growing quickly and we are looking for support on scaling our financial operations. You will be supporting both sides of the Finance function (Account & Strategic Finance) in executing our close cycle at a high standard being a trusted business partner for other teams to lean on. While we are a remote-first company, targeting the Ottawa and Montreal talent bases, or the surrounding areas, to place the candidates closest to our existing finance team members.
Key Responsibilities
Executing on day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, receivables, accounts payable (including vendor and invoice management), payroll, etc.
Participating significantly in the month-end cycle, including journal entries, allocation, variance analysis, etc.
Run the Financial Operations from end-to-end around Quote-to-Cash. This includes billing, Dunnings, Revenue Recognition, and cash matching.
Support preparation of financial reporting packages and insights for our stakeholders (executive team, board of directors, investors, and banks) including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, SaaS metrics, and KPIs.
Administer the company’s accounting policies and controls such as receipt collections and expense review, managing credit cards / budgets, revenue recognition, etc.
Assist with payroll processing (US & Canada), sales commissions, and other payroll items.
Be our first line of support for Finance’s inboxes for internal and external requests such as client billing questions, vendor disputes, investor reporting, tax forms, audit confirmations, etc.
About You
3-5 years of experience in an accounting or financial operations role, preferably in a fast-growing technology startup environment
You may have a Bachelor’s Degree specializing in accounting
You may have a CPA (not required)

Familiarity with tools in Posh’s tech stack such as Salesforce, Trinet, QuickBooks Online, and Ramp is an asset.

As we are working remotely, communication skills are critical. We appreciate those who have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
There is an expectation that this candidate will be excited to spend some days in office (Montreal / Ottawa), working side-by-side with the Strategic Finance Lead, and the Head of Financial Operations.
