The Role
At LearnLux, you’ll build and lead the systems that power a platform changing lives around the world. We empower people to take control of their financial future and your team will make sure our infrastructure, AI platform, and developer experience scale to meet that mission.
As Senior Engineering Manager, Internal Engineering, you’ll lead a high-performing and growing team accountable for DevOps, Data, Security, and our AI Platform foundations that support every LearnLux product and engineer. You’ll guide a team of engineers to build secure, reliable systems that enable rapid iteration, world-class uptime, and confident deployment. You’ll work closely with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional peers to shape how LearnLux scales globally—across regions, clients, and technologies.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a technical manager who thrives on solving complex systems challenges, mentoring engineers, and building frameworks that empower others to move fast safely. You’ll balance strategy and execution, leading initiatives that improve developer velocity, enhance security posture, evolve our observability and CI/CD pipelines, and lay the groundwork for AI-driven innovation across the product.
This role is 100% remote within the U.S. and reports to the Head of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Internal Engineering team, overseeing DevOps, AI Platform, Data, and Security initiatives that power LearnLux’s global product ecosystem.
- Drive technical strategy for scalability, availability, observability, and security across environments and services.
- Guide the evolution of LearnLux’s cloud infrastructure (GCP & AWS) for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Own the data and platform architecture supporting analytics, AI training, and operational insights, ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable delivery.
- Maintain secure-by-default infrastructure practices and partner with compliance and product security to meet SOC 2 and other regulatory standards.
- Mentor engineers, lead incident response and postmortem processes, and build a culture of ownership, speed, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and implement emerging tools and developer platforms that improve reliability, observability, and developer experience.
- Champion modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, reduce manual toil, and accelerate innovation.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ in management or technical leadership.
- Proven experience leading DevOps, Data, Infrastructure, or Platform teams in SaaS environments.
- Deep cloud architecture expertise (GCP and/or AWS).
- Strong background in CI/CD, IaC (Pulumi or similar), and containerized deployments (Docker, Cloud Run, Kubernetes).
- Experience integrating AI/ML and LLM-based tools into production systems.
- Solid grasp of security best practices—identity, access, network, and incident response.
- Track record of building and scaling internal developer platforms that balance speed, quality, and compliance.
- Skilled communicator who translates technical concepts into business impact.
- Pragmatic systems thinker focused on sustainable, high-impact solutions.
- Experience scaling GenAI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Devin, etc.) to boost developer productivity.
- Strong people leader with a record of mentorship and team growth.

Salary Range
$160,000 - $215,000 USD
The pay range for this role is listed below. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor.
