Summary
We’re looking for a Software Engineering Intern (Full Stack) to join our team for the Summer 2026 internship program. This role is ideal for a college student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field who is eager to gain hands-on experience building real product features in a startup environment.
As an intern, you’ll work with our engineering team to build and improve features on Hue’s platform used by millions of online shoppers. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering while gaining mentorship from experienced engineers who have worked at companies like Google and Red Hat.
This is a great opportunity to learn modern full-stack development practices and contribute to production systems at a fast-growing startup.

Internship Details
- Duration: April/May - August 2026 (Summer Internship)
- Location: Remote (United States)
- Schedule: Full-time internship, approximately 40 hours per week
- Compensation: $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience
You don’t need experience with everything below, but familiarity with some of these tools is helpful.
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS
- Backend: Node.js (and modern APIs)
- Infrastructure: Cloud-based environment (AWS/GCP)
- Tools: Git/GitHub, modern CI/CD, testing frameworks
- Contribute to building and improving features on Hue’s core web platform
- Work across the stack on both frontend and backend tasks
- Collaborate with Product and Design to implement new product features
- Learn modern full-stack engineering practices through hands-on development
- Help debug issues and improve application performance
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
- Contribute to internal documentation and shared components
- Gain experience working in a fast-paced startup engineering environment
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Rising junior or senior preferred
- Familiarity with JavaScript and modern web development
- Experience building projects using React of similar frameworks
- Understanding of HTML/CSS fundamentals
- Strong curiosity and willing to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience building personal, academic, or open-source web applications
- Exposure to backend development (Node.js or APIs)
- Familiarity with Git or version control
- Previous internship, research, or technical project experience
- Real-world experience building production software used by major brands
- Mentorship from experienced engineers and startup founders
- Exposure to modern full-stack development tools and workflows
- Hands-on experience collaborating with product and design teams
- Insight into how early-stage startups build and scale software products
