Hue (poweredbyhue.com) is a fast-growing, venture-backed B2B SaaS e-commerce startup on a mission to help all shoppers feel represented in their online shopping journey, and was listed by Business Insider as one of 43 Startups to Bet Your Career On in 2025. Hue's technology embeds authentic video reviews on brands' DTC shopping websites, leveraging a community of 2000+ diverse micro content creators to generate UGC. Hue has significant wins with 100+ brands and retailers including Footlocker, Tatcha, REVOLVE, Andie Swim, and more.

Hue was founded in 2021 by Harvard MBA classmates Janvi Shah (previously PM at Google), Nicole Clay (previously Director of Marketing at L'Oreal, USA), and Sylvan Guo (previously Growth & Analytics at Tubi/Fox and Airbnb), who all experienced the pain point of struggling to find products that suit their skin tone and body type when shopping online. They went on to raise over $4 million in venture capital funding from Fika Ventures, Underscore VC, Sequoia Scouts, and more. They have been recognized as Forbes 30 Under 30, Inc FemaleFounders 200, Tory Burch Fellows, Google for Startups Accelerator, Entreprenista Career Pivot of the Year, and ELLE Future of Beauty.

About The Role

We’re hiring a Technical Marketing Intern who is excited about the technical side of marketing — systems, tools, workflows, data, and experimentation — and enjoys applying that thinking to creative execution.

This role is for someone who is curious about how marketing actually works under the hood: how leads flow through systems, how campaigns are operationalized, how tooling connects, and how execution turns strategy into results.

You’ll work directly with Hue’s CMO in a lightweight agile sprint model, owning real projects that impact pipeline, events, and go-to-market execution. This is a hands-on, high-ownership internship where you’ll see the results of your work quickly.

How You’ll Work

  • Weekly sprints with clear priorities and deliverables
  • Daily 15-minute standups to align and unblock
  • Lots of independent, heads-down execution
  • Occasional external calls with event vendors or partners
  • You’ll work on a two-person team alongside the CMO

You’ll be expected to manage your time well, prioritize tasks, and ask for clarification early when priorities are unclear.

What You’ll Work On

Technical Marketing & Systems

  • Learn and operate marketing tools used for outbound, events, and campaign execution
  • Build and run email and LinkedIn outreach campaigns using tools like Apollo
  • Create and manage workflows that support lead generation and event follow-up
  • Think critically about how systems connect and how processes can be improved

Event Marketing

Events are one of Hue’s most important growth channels. You’ll help own the operational execution, including:

  • Coordinating with event organizers and sponsors
  • Managing onboarding, timelines, and logistics
  • Creating event assets (booth backdrops, flyers, swag, etc.)
  • Posting on LinkedIn to amplify event visibility
  • Building targeted brand lists and running outreach campaigns tied to events
  • Ensuring all execution details are completed accurately and on time

Content & Asset Creation

  • Draft and design case studies (written + visual)
  • Support PR and podcast pitches, award submissions, and LinkedIn content
  • Translate technical or product concepts into clear, compelling marketing materials

Website & Product Marketing Support

  • Assist with website updates, launches, and performance analysis
  • Support product marketing initiatives as priorities shift

Tools You’ll Learn

You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern marketing tools including:

  • Apollo
  • HubSpot
  • Trello
  • Make or n8n
  • Website CMS
  • HeyReach

You don’t need prior experience with every tool — but you must be excited to learn them, experiment, and figure things out independently.

What Success Looks Like

  • You quickly ramp on tools and systems and can operate them confidently
  • You deliver sprint tasks accurately and on time
  • You proactively identify blockers or inefficiencies and flag them early
  • You take ownership of execution and follow-through
  • You adapt quickly when priorities shift
  • Your technical confidence and execution speed improve week over week

Who This Is a Great Fit For

You Are

  • Technically curious and excited by systems, tools, and workflows
  • Detail-oriented and precise in execution
  • Analytical, but also creative and visually minded
  • Energized by project-based work and momentum
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment
  • Flexible when plans change and priorities shift

You Work Well With The CMO If You

  • Appreciate direct, clear communication
  • Are comfortable asking for help or clarification when needed
  • Take pride in contributing to team success, even when credit is shared generously

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated interest in technical marketing, growth, analytics, or systems thinking
  • Interest in marketing, growth, startups, or B2B SaaS
  • Strong copywriting and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Nice to Have: Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Canva, Adobe)
  • Bonus: a portfolio, writing sample, design work, or project you’re proud of (academic or personal is great).

Internship Details

  • Paid internship: $25/hour
  • Open to US-based candidates
  • 40 hours a week
  • Strong performance may be considered for future full-time opportunities
  • We do not sponsor work visas at this time
