Position Overview
As our Field Marketing Part-Time Contractor, you’ll own the planning and execution of all in-person conferences, sponsorships, and hosted field events. You’ll work closely with internal teams (sales, customer success, and leadership) while managing an external event agency to deliver high-impact, revenue-driving experiences. Additionally, you’ll oversee and mentor our full-time Event/Field Marketer, ensuring alignment and execution of field marketing activities.
This is a 9-month contract role (with the potential to extend), requiring 20 hours per week with the flexibility to scale up to 30 hours during peak event seasons (spring and fall).
What You’ll Do
- Lead the execution of Goldcast’s in-person event strategy, including conferences, trade shows, and sponsorship activations.
- Plan and oversee field events—curating unique, high-touch experiences that engage prospects and customers.
- Manage an event agency to help plan and execute field events.
- Oversee and mentor our full-time Field Marketer, providing guidance, support, and alignment on key initiatives.
- Negotiate contracts with event sponsors, venues, and vendors to ensure cost-effective, high-impact activations.
- Enable sales and customer success teams, ensuring alignment on event goals, outreach, and follow-up strategies.
- Oversee event logistics, from vendor management and branding to onsite execution and post-event analysis.
- Develop creative event marketing tactics to drive attendance and engagement.
- Measure and report on event performance, tracking impact on revenue and pipeline.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in event marketing, specifically in B2B SaaS.
- Experiential marketing expertise: You’ve led both large-scale conferences and bespoke field events.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented: You ensure every aspect of an event is flawlessly executed.
- Strong mentor & collaborator: You have experience guiding and overseeing junior team members while working cross-functionally with internal teams.
- Strong negotiator: You have experience negotiating sponsorships, vendor contracts, and venue agreements to optimize budget and impact.
- Creative and strategic thinker: You know how to make events stand out and drive measurable business impact.
- Experience managing an event agency or external vendors.
