What you’ll be doing on the team:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will use a combination of phone, email, video, and social media to help build our sales pipeline by connecting with prospective customers, understanding their unique needs, and identifying the best way to position Darby. This will include:

Executing Outbound Lead Generation: Effectively executing our outreach approach to drive sales conversation generation in an assigned area of focus and provided accounts.

Initial Sales Conversation Coordination and Participation: Coordinate calendars of prospects and Darby leadership and provide initial introductions during the initial sales meeting.

Sales Enablement: Monitor, maintain, and report sales conversation generation activities and results against pre-established goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete the required onboarding outreach training to learn the Darby outreach process to turn prospect lists into initial meetings and qualified leads (NOT Traditional Cold Calling)
  • Research and understand the industry and competitive landscape, and Darby points of differentiation, and collaborate on the identification of at least 100 target companies and contacts
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Darby Prospecting Process
  • Begin prospecting and scheduling meetings with target companies
  • Develop, test, and iterate outbound messaging across different channels (e.g., phone call, email, LinkedIn) & personas
  • Manage prospect lists and pipeline in HubSpot
  • Generate 10 meetings with net-new qualified targets
  • Have 3 leads in the early stages of the sales process
  • Work with leadership to deliver on the monthly, quarterly, and yearly meeting generation goals set during the first two months, primarily through self-managed prospecting

Expectations:
The Sales Development Representative role is a full-time position. We hire talented individuals with initiative and drive; as such, we provide the flexibility you need to succeed at work and at home. While most team members work from 8 am to 5 pm, it’s up to you to self-manage your time consistent with the goals and expectations for your role and the needs of your team. As a company supporting remote work, you can live anywhere you want, as long as you can get the job done. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for success in the role.

Who you are:

  • 1+ years experience, preferably in a sales or service-based environment involving outbound calling and emailing
  • Excited, motivated, and inspired by exceeding goals
  • Experienced at using Hubspot or other CRMs
  • Thoughtful, engaging, energetic, and self-aware
  • Experience working within an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Focused on details, a self-starter, and relentless but professional
  • Willing to try new things without much guidance
  • Bonus: Experience with B2B SaaS; a desire to continue building a long-term career in sales
  • College degree preferred but not required

Compensation:

  • $65k annual base + 2x OTE
  • Equity Grant
