About the role:
CloudZero is looking for a Software Engineer focused on Developer Experience (DX) to help shape the internal tooling, workflows, and infrastructure that enable our engineers to ship high-quality software efficiently and reliably. In this role, you’ll work across backend and frontend systems to improve consistency, stability, and usability for developers across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Improve the stability and consistency of existing and new backend and frontend code.

• Enhance developer productivity through better tooling, workflows, and automation

• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate feedback and continuously refine the developer experience.

• Invest in clear documentation of coding standards, best practices, and reusable patterns.

• Help solve challenging problems around debugging, deployability, and testability

• Participate in code reviews and foster a strong culture of shared technical ownership.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and bring new ideas to improve engineering workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a backend or infrastructure engineer.

• Comfortable working in Python-based environments.

• Experience with developer tooling, CI/CD, test frameworks, or DevEx-related areas

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment technologies (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform).

• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (testing, code reviews, documentation).

• Growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning and team enablement.
