First things first, this position offers a $45,000 - $60,000 base salary with no commission cap on a 50/50 base to commission split. At Clockwork, we promote from within, and you will have the opportunity for aggressive growth within the sales organization after displaying success in this role.

About Clockwork:

With our recent Seed round of VC funding, we’re growing the team and looking for a hungry Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us take our growth to the next level. Millions of companies fail each year because of poor financial planning. Growing companies and their advisors are severely under-equipped to manage their company’s cash flow and finances, leading to missed opportunities and bad decisions. We’re fixing that.

Launched in 2018, Clockwork is a cloud-based, AI-powered Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) platform, which connects directly to a company’s accounting system (QuickBooks Online/Xero) and automatically provides real-time performance insights, accurate cash flow forecasts, and intuitive financial modeling tools with no manual setup required. Clockwork is already the most accurate and easy-to-use forecasting and financial analysis tool out there, serving hundreds of entrepreneurs and CFOs.

As a BDR at Clockwork, you will be responsible for researching prospective customers, creating outreach strategies, and identifying sales opportunities. You will also have discovery conversations with potential customers, use your business acumen to identify how Clockwork could help a business grow, and successfully position the Clockwork value proposition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely and collaboratively with account executives to develop and implement appropriate prospecting strategies.
  • Conduct high volume prospecting and outreach to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media.
  • Schedule discovery meetings for account executives to further assess a prospect's business and potential with Clockwork.
  • Conduct needs qualification calls with specific prospects as assigned.
  • Help small and mid-sized companies realize their full growth potential using Clockwork’s Financial Planning & Analysis software.
  • You'll learn how a variety of businesses operate, what challenges they face on a daily basis, and how technology can dramatically improve their businesses and employees' lives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous successful sales experience OR a strong desire to begin a sales career.
  • Previous sales experience in which you demonstrated the ability to meet or exceed sales quotas is a plus (but not required).
  • A track record of high achievement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with peers who challenge you to be better.
  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals.
  • Naturally curious and passionate.
  • A keenly developed competitive nature.
  • A highly self-driven sense of motivation.
  • The ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection on a daily basis.
